The student's at Alliance Middle School participated in a school wide reading challenge called The Tower of Books. 📚 Students read as many books as they could from November to January. 📖 Over 245 books were read during the challenge. The Alliance High School Social Justice Team and the Choirs joined together to host the annual Diversity Night last week! The theme for this year's event was "Connection Through the Arts!" The program was all about how the arts bring people together from all over the world, and allowed us to celebrate and experience how different cultures have impacted the arts.
Attendees heard a variety of songs from the choirs and even saw a step dance performance choreographed by AHS Alum Ande' Green. The evening featured student speakers including the Alliance Middle School Pathfinder essay contest winner, Gabriel Cox, who read his essay titled "Beyond the Month: Reflecting on Black History's Personal Impact." The night ended with the AHS Jetsetter performing Michael Jackson's "We are the World" and "Black or White."
